Eliza Dushku: Once again a victim of shortsighted, tasteless network executives.
Well, those bastards have done it again:
Fox has canceled Eliza Dushku’s cult favorite
Dollhouse. Sure, they say they’ll air the remaining episodes that have already been ordered, but after that, the show goes away. Why, Fox? Why? We feel the same way we did when the last Dushku vehicle —
Tru Calling — was canceled. At least we had
Jason Priestly to blame for that. Now? We just feel empty inside. (OK, we are writing this before lunch, so that pretty much explains the empty feeling. But we’re still pissed about
Dollhouse.)
Anyway, we know it’s not the same, but you lost Friday night TV viewers do have an alternative: Another episode of Nevada Week in Review. On tonight’s show, Jon Ralston, KVBC Channel 3’s Hetty Chang, KVVY Channel 5’s John Huck and yours truly will talk about CityCenter’s upcoming grand opening, a terrorist drill planned for Las Vegas, U.S. Sen. Harry Reid’s push for health care reform, a potential lawsuit against travel websites and the “personhood” petition, among other things.
Tune in at 7:30 p.m. tonight on VegasPBS Channel 10. If you can’t swing that, try 7:30 p.m. Saturday or noon Sunday. Perhaps by then, we’ll have recovered from our grief.
