Screams, deciphered: Caravels

So we thought this was pretty cool. Local hardcore band Caravels started putting the lyrics to their screamed/howled songs on their Tumblr page. Now we don’t have to feel so silly trying to sing along at shows when we don’t even know the song’s premise, much less the actual words. For instance, at the beginning of “Beer Pressure,” “bwah bwah-BWAH BWAH bwah BWAH BWAH BWAH” is actually “I had it nestled there, right beside my bed/bound in faux leather, and comfortably set.” Who knew?
It’s perfect timing, because their split 12-inch with Gifts from Enola, “Well Worn,” comes out Jan. 24. Follow along here to their now-streaming “Beer Pressure.”
