Former Congressman Porter rips off face to reveal cackling demon underneath
According to the R-J’s political blog, former U.S. Rep Jon Porter has taken a lobbying gig in D.C. Now, let’s resist for a second the jokes about how this is simply a continuation of his career representing special interests — ba-dum-bum! — and hold off on cracking wise about how maybe now he’ll finally manage to distinguish himself in politics — ba-dum-bum!
What hooked my brainflaps was this line from one the lobbying firm’s principals:
“He also possesses a unique knowledge of the State of Nevada and looks forward to representing Nevada clients in Washington.”
Can’t help but imagine him checking his BlackBerry for the day’s schmooze calendar and finding on it one Rep. Dina Titus. Yeah. Awwwwwkward.
